VICTORY OVER JAPAN IN THE U.S. SERVICEMEN’S ESTIMATION

Abstract

The article considers the estimations of the victory in the Pacific War, the ones formulated by the U.S. servicemen in 1945. It analyzes the main features of the image of the atomic bomb, the offensive of the USSR and the surrender of Japan.
