Microclimatic features of pine-broadleaf forests in the Southern Urals region based on logger measurements and ERA5-Land reanalysis data

Abstract

An analysis of the temperature regime and air humidity was carried out in ecotonal pine-broadleaf forests of the suballiance Tilio cordatae – Pinenion sylvestris on the Ufa Plateau (UP) and in the central part of the Southern Urals (MFZ – mountain forest zone of the Republic of Bashkortostan (RB)) based on data from temperature and humidity sensors (2022–2023) and the ERA5-Land reanalysis. The mean daily air temperature on the UP was on average 1,24°C higher than in the MFZ according to logger data and 2,3°C higher according to the ERA5-Land reanalysis. A high correlation between logger observations and reanalysis data was detected (R = 0,97–0,98). However, the air temperature measured by sensors was on average higher than the ERA5-Land estimates by 1,7°C on the UP and by 0,67°C in the MFZ. During extreme periods, discrepancies reached up to 13°C, which is associated with the buffering role of the forest canopy, the influence of the snow cover, and microlandscape features such as slope exposure and steepness. Relative air humidity at both sites showed very similar average values (74,3% on the UP and 74,0% in the MFZ) and a high synchrony in seasonal dynamics. The highest values were observed in November (up to 90%), while the lowest values occurred in May (about 50%). During the cold season, humidity remained high due to low temperatures and stable snow cover, whereas in spring its variability increased. Soil temperature in winter remained close to 0°C, indicating the strong insulating effect of the snow cover. In spring and summer, soil on the UP warmed more rapidly and reached higher values (up to +17…+18°C) than in the MFZ (up to +15…+16°C). These differences are explained by variations in slope exposure, relief, and conditions of solar radiation input. The obtained results demonstrate the important role of microlandscape factors and forest canopy in shaping the microclimatic regime of forest ecosystems. The obtained results highlight the key role of local factors (microrelief, forest canopy) in the formation of microclimate, which must be taken into account when predicting the response of forest ecosystems to global climate change, especially in ecotone communities sensitive to climate fluctuations.

Morphometric determinants of running speed in greyhound dogs

Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify morphometric parameters associated with running speed in Greyhounds. The study sample comprised 49 purebred Greyhounds of Russian breeding (31 males, 18 females). Twenty-one linear measurements were taken from each animal, and 7 body condition indices were calculated. Maximum running speed was recorded using electronic timing. Correlation analysis revealed that the strongest correlations with speed were exhibited by the body format index (ρ = −0,47, p < 0,001), the thoracic index (ρ = −0,47, p < 0,001), and the speed index (ρ = 0,43, p < 0,01). Individual linear measurements did not show statistically significant correlations. Using multiple stepwise regression, which included all 29 traits (21 measurements, 7 indices, and sex), four statistically significant predictors were selected: body format index, thoracic index, leg length index, and bone index. The model was statistically significant (R² = 0,38, p = 0,00024). The body format index made the largest contribution to speed prediction (p = 0,0071). The obtained results can be used for ranking dogs by speed potential in breeding work.

Hydrobiological characteristics of watercourses in the Northern Azov region (the Mius and Kalchik rivers)

Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive hydrobiological characterization of two watercourses important for the Northern Azov region – the Mius River and the Kalchyk River (a tributary of the Kalmius). Fieldwork was carried out in July–August 2025. On the Mius River, sampling was performed at stations in the city of Miusinsk and the village of Dmitrovka; on the Kalchyk River, at stations in the village of Kremenevka and the city of Mariupol. Taxonomic composition, abundance and biomass of phytoplankton, zooplankton and zoobenthos were analysed. Phytoplankton of the Mius River comprised 47 taxa of microalgae and cyanobacteria, with green algae predominating; the Kalchyk River contained 36 taxa, dominated by diatoms. Zooplankton diversity was relatively low: 9 taxa in the Mius and 17 taxa in the Kalchyk. Substantial differences in the structure of algal communities and zooplankton assemblages were detected among the study sites, most pronounced in the Kalchyk near Mariupol. Zoobenthos included representatives of Oligochaeta, Polychaeta, Gastropoda, Insecta and Crustacea. Water quality assessment using the saprobic index placed the surveyed reaches of the Mius and Kalchyk rivers in the β-mesosaprobic zone (water quality class III), corresponding to moderate pollution.

Features of vegetation cover dynamics in the territories of the Kipchakovsky archaeological complex according to the data of spore-pollen analysis

Abstract

This study presents the results of two excavation sites analysis within the Kipchakovsky archaeological complex using the spore-pollen analysis method. The investigated sections of the burial ground and the fortified settlement were located within the forest-steppe zone of the Cis-Urals, on the bedrock terrace of the right bank of the Syun River, a left tributary of the Belaya River. A total of 26 soil samples were collected and analyzed, allowing for the characterization of pollen spectra composition and the reconstruction of vegetation cover at different stages of site development. The results of the spore-pollen analysis showed the predominance of tree pollen in all the horizons studied, reflecting the significant role of forest vegetation in the structure of the regional landscape. However, noticeable differences were found between the two study areas. The burial ground is characterized by a higher proportion of arboreal pollen, a stable dominance of Betula, and a clearly expressed successional trend from open, disturbed environments toward the formation of secondary birch forests. In contrast, the fortified settlement exhibited an increased value of herbaceous and ruderal taxa, including Artemisia, Poaceae, and Chenopodiaceae, indicaed on the persistence of open landscapes and a higher degree of anthropogenic disturbance. The presence of pastoral and disturbance-related indicators suggested on the continuous soil disturbance and intensive land use. Thus, the data obtained make it possible to interpret the territory of the burial ground as an area with an episodic anthropogenic impact and subsequent vegetation demutation, whereas the settlement is characterized by a prolonged and stable anthropogenic pressure that prevents the restoration of woody vegetation and promotes the development of ruderal meadow communities.

Variability of morphometric traits in plants of the rare species Dentaria sibirica (Brassicaceae) in the Altai Republic

Abstract

This article analyzes for the first time the variability of morphometric parameters of the Red Data Book species Dentaria sibirica (O.E. Schulz) N. Busch (= Cardamine altaica Lippmaa). This species belongs to the rhizomatous herbaceous polycarpic plants. Individuals were studied in the flowering phase in 2024 in the Altai Republic in samples of 30 generative individuals under the canopy of a mixed forest in three coenopopulations (CPs). Previously, the condition of individuals of this species in local populations has not been studied. This paper presents an analysis of the variability of morphometric parameters in individuals from CPs under different environmental conditions. Individuals from CP1 grew in a habitat with anthropogenic impact (soil cover disturbance during power transmission line construction). The habitat of specimens from CP2, located at the edge of a forest on the southern slope of the mountain, was characterized by the highest illumination. Our studies revealed high variability in most morphometric traits and plasticity in an important parameter of photosynthetic surface area size–leaflet length. The value of this trait was significantly lower in specimens under higher illumination conditions in CP2. Correlation analysis revealed that specimens with longer shoots in the CP1 sample had longer leaflets and a greater number of flowers per raceme. An examination of the clump of specimens (oval-shaped) revealed that, under undisturbed conditions in CP3, Dsibirica had more partial shoots in the clump than in the CP1 habitat after anthropogenic impact. A study of the clump structure revealed that, in samples from all three CPs, an increase in vegetative shoots had a greater effect on clump area than an increase in generative shoots (R² = 0,52; p = 0,00001 and R² = 0,36; p = 0,0004, respectively). The obtained data can be used to compile databases of rare species in Russia and Altai Republic to develop conservation measures for this rare species.

Study of the dynamics of ecological and biochemical parameters of Aegopodium podagraria leaf in the gradient of soil pollution with heavy metals in recreational areas of Nizhny Novgorod

Abstract

The ground elder (Aegopodium podagraria L.) is a common species in the urban recreational areas of the European part of Russia. However, the resistance of Apodagraria to heavy metals (HMs) and the possibility of using its leaf endpoints in bioindication have not been studied well enough. In this regard, we studied lipid peroxidation rate (LPR) and the content of chlorophylls and carotenoids in Apodagraria leaves with HMs soil pollution (Pb, Cr, Cu, Zn) in 3 recreational areas of Nizhny Novgorod (Russia) during 3 years (2016, 2019 and 2021). In addition, the weight and area of Apodagraria leaves were determined in 2021. During all the years of observation, HMs soil pollution led to a decrease in the content of chlorophylls and carotenoids in the leaves of Apodagraria compared to the control. In addition, in 2021, pollution caused a decrease in the weight (wet and dry) and the area (absolute and specific) of leaves in the plot with the highest copper content in the soil. ANOVA showed interannual differences for the levels of all pigments and LPR in the plant leaves, as well as effects of pollution on all studied leaf parameters. In 2016 and 2019, strong negative correlations were found between levels of photosynthetic pigments and the total copper content in the soil, which is probably due to the higher biological activity of copper compared to other studied HMs. Instead of the increase in LPR, which is typical for severe stress, we showed a decrease in this indicator in polluted plots relative to the control during 3 years. This may be due to hormesis and indicates the ability of Apodagraria to maintain peroxide homeostasis even under HMs soil pollution. Thus, we have shown a multidirectional changes in the studied ecological and biochemical parameters of leaves in the gradient of soil pollution with HMs during 3 years of observation, which should be taken into account when choosing bioindication indicators of Apodagraria. The level of chlorophylls was the most sensitive to HMs soil pollution among the studied leaf endpoints, which was manifested in a decrease in these pigment levels during all the years of observation.

Zooplankton mortality as an indicator of the impact of increased turbidity during dredging operations (using the example of the Cheboksary Reservoir)

Abstract

This article presents the results of a study examining the impact of increased turbidity caused by dredging on zooplankton communities in the upper reaches of the Cheboksary Reservoir. Using the aniline blue staining method, direct quantitative estimates of aquatic organism mortality across a suspended solids concentration gradient were obtained for the first time for this water body. Traditional indicators of total zooplankton abundance and biomass were found to show no statistically significant differences between zones and do not correlate with turbidity, whereas mortality rates demonstrate a clear positive relationship with suspended solids concentration. The most informative indicator of anthropogenic stress is the proportion of dead individuals calculated based on biomass (correlation coefficient with turbidity r = 0,65). Selective mortality of cladocerans and copepods was observed, while rotifers exhibited high tolerance. The recorded turbidity levels did not exceed established fisheries standards; however, a statistically significant increase in zooplankton mortality was observed, demonstrating the community's high sensitivity to even moderate increases in suspended solids concentrations. The obtained results support the possibility of integrating methods for differentiating living and dead organisms (in particular, viable staining) into environmental monitoring of dredging impacts to identify hidden forms of aquatic community suppression that are not detectable by other methods.

Evaluation of the stability of Tilia cordata Mill. trees in the urban environment of Donetsk

Abstract

In the last decade, the issue of optimizing urban environments has become particularly pressing. One of the most effective solutions to this problem is the use of woody plants characterized by stable growth rates. Among the most common tree species used to restore dendrocoenoses in industrial cities is the small-leaved linden (Tilia cordata Mill.). Based on a visual inspection of small-leaved linden trees growing in the experimental plot in Donetsk, we assessed the viability of the examined T. cordata specimens. Under conditions of high anthropogenic pressure in the model area, the majority of the examined trees (61,64%) were in a weakened state (2 points), while 32,88% of the examined trees were severely weakened (3 points), 2,74% were dying (4 points), and 1,37% were deadwood (5 points). Only 1,37% of the stand had a viability rating of 1 (healthy plant). The overall weakening of the trees was manifested by multiple morphological defects in trunk development and wood defects. According to the developmental stability assessment scale, the integrated developmental stability indicator corresponded to class V, which corresponds to a high deviation from the conventional norm; the plants are in a state of ecological crisis.

Water biotesting of Lake Imandra (Murmansk Region) using Allium test

Abstract

The Murmansk Region is home to numerous industrial enterprises engaged in the extraction of minerals, which increases the pressure on the sensitive and fragile aquatic ecosystems of the North. Lake Imandra is the largest body of water in the Murmansk Region. Environmental monitoring with bioindication studies has long been conducted on the lake. This study examines the use of the Allium cepa L. test system for biotesting water samples from Lake Imandra monitoring stations. Water from the transit stations of Erm Island, Shirokaja Salma Passage, Zasheyechnaya Bay, the Kola Nuclear Power Plant water intake (western shore of Zasheyechnaya Bay), and a reference point from Kunchast Bay served as test samples. Chromosomal aberrations were observed in root meristem cells without changes in the mitotic index in all samples compared to the control, as well as in the Kola Nuclear Power Plant water intake station compared to other stations except Erm Island. When comparing the results with previously obtained data, bioindication studies and chemical analysis, a general trend of long-term influence of man-made factors on the ecological state of Lake Imandra was revealed.

Specifics of recording plants from different ecological groups in collection greenhouses

Abstract

This article examines new possibilities for recording plants representing various ecological groups grown in botanical garden greenhouses. The species composition of tropical and subtropical plants in the scientific collection is analyzed for their affiliation with ecological groups in relation to light, soil moisture, and air. It is shown that life form and ecological characteristics determine the cultivation of specific species in specific conditions. Typical plant recording tools include paper maps and tables, which are most often created using Excel. Modern trends in plant recording involve the use of information technology. The creation of information systems, including botanical ones, is typically characterized by the use of a web interface, subsequent network use of the created local databases, and the implementation of spatial data referencing. Based on these approaches, the authors propose a methodology for recording plants housed in a greenhouse using the «Orangery» information system, which is a database containing information on the spatial arrangement of plants (spatial data) and their characteristics (attribute data). The information system is planned as a web application created using the open-source software Visual Studio Core. A local version is currently being developed. This development will integrate ecological and botanical information about plants with their spatial location in the greenhouse, and generate plant lists based on specific requests from research staff, displaying their relative positions on maps.

Analysis of volumes of early Neolithic vessels from the middle Volga Region

Abstract

This paper presents the results of an analysis of the volumes of Early Neolithic vessels from the Middle Volga region, obtained through the application of an original specialized software package. The aim of the study was to obtain precise quantitative data on the capacity of ceramic pottery and to interpret it in the context of the functional differentiation of the Yelshanka culture. The research is based on the application of a software package written in Python, which implements accurate numerical integration methods for digitized vessel profiles (disk, truncated cone, trapezoidal, Simpson's, and spline integral methods). Profiles of 30 reconstructed vessels from 12 archaeological sites in the region were analyzed. The obtained volume values range widely–from 0,05 to 19,2 liters–indicating a high degree of functional specialization of pottery already in the Early Neolithic. The statistical representativeness of medium-volume forms (2–6 liters), presumably associated with everyday household practices, has been established. The calculation results were automatically classified according to Yu.B. Tsetlin's functional scale, linking them to categories of vessel mobility and purpose. The reliability of the methodology was verified by a physical experiment, which showed a discrepancy of less than 3% between the calculated and empirical data. The study confirms the effectiveness of an integrated approach combining precise volume calculation, functional classification, and morphological analysis for the study of Neolithic ceramics and the reconstruction of economic models of ancient populations.

Byzantine Christian medicine in the perception of Russian pilgrims: hegumen Daniel and the tradition of the «Khozhdenie»

Abstract

The article examines the missionary–pilgrimage channel through which Byzantine practices of charity and healing were transferred into the cultural space of Medieval Rus′ (11th–15th centuries). Drawing on a corpus of Russian pilgrimage narratives (khozhdeniia, above all that of Abbot Daniel), chronicle reports, and the hagiographic tradition, it traces the trajectory from observing Byzantine forms of ecclesiastical benevolence and sacred healing to their adaptation and institutionalization in Rus′. It is shown that pilgrimage accounts record not only the topography of shrines and travel routes, but also «material mediators» of treatment–oil, water, particles of relics, and blessed objects (eulogiai) – as well as practices of care, bathing, and basic hygiene. The study identifies organizational models of assistance – hospitality for strangers, monastic hospitals, refectories, and food distribution–perceived as exemplars and transmitted through pilgrims’ personal experience. A research gap is clarified: historiography has examined texts and institutions separately, while the mechanism linking them as a historical process remains insufficiently described. Missionaries and pilgrims are interpreted as intermediaries in introducing a Byzantine model of healing, synthesized with local traditions and contributing to the development of monastic medicine and a culture of church charity in Rus′. The article shows how, upon returning home, pilgrims brought back stories and relics, consolidating healing practices with the support of local elites.

Scottish interests in the early stages of interaction between England and Russia

Abstract

It is generally accepted that the first British-Russian diplomatic contact, which took place on the territory of the British Isles in the middle of the 16th Century, is related to England. Nevertheless, the initial place of stay of the head of the Russian embassy, Osip Grigorievich Nepea, in Britain was not England, but due to tragic circumstances, the Scottish kingdom. The ship ‘Edward Bonaventure’, carrying representatives of the Russian diplomatic mission on the way to London, sank off the coast of the Scottish bay Pitsligo on November 10, 1556. Osip Nepea was lucky to be among the few who escaped death and reached the Scottish coast. Until now, in historiography, this circumstance, like the first Scottish-Russian diplomatic contacts, has not been given due attention. The article, based on documentary material, examines the features of the manifestation of interest of Scottish diplomacy in the process of developing Anglo-Russian relations. The reasons for the long-term preservation of the Scottish «outside view» in relation to Russia and the presence of only indirect ties between the ruling dynasties of the two states are noted. As an important consequence of this circumstance, the unpopularity of the Russian direction among the natives of Scotland, who were distinguished by migration activity to the European continent in the early New Age, was highlighted.

The 18th-century bone-carving production complex in Krivoarbatsky Lane, Moscow

Abstract

The article is a scientific study of the production complex of bone carving in the 18th century and the introduction of the found bone products and semi-finished goods into scientific circulation. In 2012, the Moscow Archaeological Bureau conducted excavations on the protected territory of the Plotnichya Sloboda cultural layer at 4 Krivoarbatsky Lane, Building 4, Moscow. As a result of the study conducted during the archaeological protection works, a number of remains of buildings and structures were identified. The main areas of the production complex were clothing manufacturing, production of bone buttons, and other bone-carving products. The work includes the analysis and determination of the properties and composition of the bone, as well as the focus on individual products and the total number of bone-carving finds, the location (characteristics of the cultural layer and objects), the time frame, and the production process. The most significant findings of bone-carving production in the study area include numerous buttons, a fragment of an unknown ornamented object, an object with technological holes (presumably a template or a machine tool), and blanks for the production of buttons and beads. These artifacts and production facilities provide essential and meaningful information about the craft production within the city limits of Moscow.

The heads of women's gymnasiums and their role in the development of women's education during the late Russian Empire (based on the materials of the Samara Governorate)

Abstract

The article examines the history of Samara women's gymnasiums during the late Russian Empire. The author, relying on archival materials and published sources, traces the emergence and development of female gymnasium education in the city of Samara. Historical, biographical and statistical methods used in scientific research have made it possible not only to restore scattered information about the activities of the heads of women's educational institutions, but also to systematize data on the work of pre-revolutionary Samara gymnasiums. Considering the main duties of gymnasium heads, the author focused on studying their role in choosing suitable classrooms, which was one of the important details in organizing the correct educational process. In addition, according to the researcher, an equally important task for the head of the gymnasium was to create favorable conditions for the pupils within the walls of the educational institution, therefore the author is studying the issue of charitable assistance organized by the gymnasium administration for its students. The analysis of historical materials made it possible to conclude that the heads of Samara gymnasiums had a significant influence on the formation of women's secondary education in the Samara Region in the second half of the XIX – early XX century.

Activities of the Russian diplomatic mission in China under the leadership of A.P. Cassini

Abstract

This article explores the activities of the Russian diplomatic mission in China under the leadership of Arthur Pavlovich Cassini. It evaluates A.P. Cassini's performance as head of the diplomatic mission and explains the reasons for the changes in the mission's personnel. It consistently describes the mission's activities before, during, and after the Sino-Japanese War of 1894–1895. It explains the role the mission played in signing the 4% loan agreement for China and the difficulties it faced. Sources previously unused for exploring the mission's activities are cited. It explores the Chinese authorities' position on cooperation with the Russian Empire and the contribution A.P. Cassini's mission would make to this end. Specific examples of mission members, such as Yu.Ya. Solovyov, I.Ya. Korostovets, and A.I. Pavlov, are used to explain why they were preferred to serve in China. It explains how relations with Li Hongzhang were built, and why the Russian mission championed his candidacy during negotiations to send him to Russia to sign a cooperation agreement and obtain a concession for the construction of the Chinese Eastern Railway. It also explains the significance of these agreements for Russian policy in the Far East?

The history of a middle-class family in Samara at the beginning of the 20th century: the origins of microbiologist N.A. Gaisky and the fate of his relatives

Abstract

There is a growing interest in historical and biographical research in modern historiography. One of the aspects of this issue is the study of the family history of scientists and, in general, the phenomenon of scientific dynasties. The article traces the fate of the family and the origin of Nikolai Akimovich Gaisky (1884–1947), a Soviet microbiologist and epidemiologist, Doctor of Medicine, winner of the Stalin Prize, who made a significant contribution to the study of tularemia and plague, as well as the development of vaccines against these infections. The publication attempts to implement two research objectives: to expand the genealogy of the scientist N.A. Gaisky, establishing the personalities of his brothers and sisters, as well as to reconstruct the fate of the Gaisky family, thereby illustrating the class features of the everyday life of Samara philistinism in the early 20th century. In implementing these tasks, the main features of the historiography of the problem were analyzed, as well as unpublished documents from the Central State Archive of the Samara Region. As a result of our research, the names of the brothers and sisters of the future scientist have been established, and some aspects of the daily life of members of a petty-bourgeois family have been shown: financial status, health status, education, guardianship of young orphans, etc.

Reforms in the school education system of Soviet Russia in 1917–1927 (on the example of the Samara Governorate)

Abstract

Based on archival sources, the article analyzes the ideological, substantive, and methodological aspects of the school reform using the example of the Samara Governorate. It examines how the views of A.V. Lunacharsky, N.K. Krupskaya, and P.P. Blonsky on the unified labor school and the main vector of the country's state and political development influenced the content of education, the composition of subjects, and the methodological approaches in primary and secondary schools. It is shown that for almost five years (1918–1923), the school did not have any new mandatory curricula, which led to the urgent question of «What should we teach?» In this situation, the Samara Provincial Department of Public Education developed its own curriculum and teaching programs. The 1923 curriculum of the People's Commissariat of Education proposed abandoning the subject-based system of education in favor of a comprehensive approach. It is emphasized that in the 1920s, not only the teaching methods changed, but also the content of several subjects. First of all, this affected the social sciences. An analysis of the social studies programs shows that they were overly politicized. The inevitable consequence of teaching political literacy was the communist ideologization of the educational process and the dogmatization of Marxism. There were also attempts to professionalize secondary schools. In the Samara Governorate, there were such «professional branches» as social pedagogy, accounting and cooperative, administrative and Soviet, telegraph, and political and educational. The article highlights the positive experience of the Soviet school, such as the emphasis on subjects with significant educational potential and the introduction of labor training. However, implementing the principle of polytechnic education during this period proved to be more challenging than the principle of ideological orientation.

Participation of Muslim communities and Islamic countries in the famine relief campaign in Soviet Russia during the famine of 1921–1923: a problem statement

Abstract

Overcoming the famine 1921–1923 demanded a colossal strain on the entire state apparatus. However, due to the total devastation caused by prolonged hostilities, as well as the complete economic and political blockade established by the Entente countries, the Soviet government did not have sufficient resources to quickly and effectively overcome the catastrophic disaster. The way out was found in the involvement of public and religious forces, both within the country and abroad, in the cause of helping the starving. The Muslims of Soviet Russia could not remain aloof from a just and charitable cause, moreover, most of them themselves lived in famine-stricken governorates. The Muslim clergy readily responded to the appeal of the central authorities and took an active part in the relief campaign to the starving. Under the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims, the commission for helping the starving (Pomgol) was created. Neighboring Islamic countries, themselves in an extremely difficult economic and political situation, also did not stand aside and provided all possible aid to the population of the affected Soviet governorates without any conditions and differences of religion. This article aims to summarize the material identified and available for study on the work of both domestic Muslim organizations to help the starving, and foreign Muslim communities, and Islamic countries, as well as to identify the main directions of research into the history of Muslim assistance to the starving in Soviet Russia in 1921–1923.

Reflection of the scientific heritage of Kh.M. Loparev in French- and English-language Byzantine studies

Abstract

The article examines issues related to the reflection in French- and English-language Byzantine literature of the scientific legacy of the famous Byzantinist, native of the village of Samarovo (now the city of Khanty-Mansiysk) Khrisanf Mefodievich Loparev (1862–1918). The following scholarly periodicals were analyzed: Échos d'Orient, Journal of Hellenic Studies, Journal of Roman Studies, Slavonic and East European Review, Greek, Roman, and Byzantine Studies, Traveaux et Mémoires, Journal des sçavans, Revue archéologique, Revue de l'Orient Latin, Revue des questions historiques, Le Monde slave: revue mensuelle, Revue historique, Revue des Sciences Philosophiques et Theologiques, as well as monographic studies. Three stages of access to the scholar's scholarly works were identified: 1) the second half of the 1890s–1910s; 2) the 1920s–1970s; 3) the 1980s–2020s. It is noted that the works of Chrysanthus Methodievich Loparev were actively used in the development of the following scholarly topics: 1) medieval hagiographic literature; 2) the pilgrimage writings of the monk Zosima and Archbishop Anthony of Novgorod; 3) the functioning of state and church institutions in Byzantium, the relationship between the Eastern and Western churches; 4) Bulgarian history and literature associated with the Byzantine Empire. A conclusion is drawn about the comprehensive influence of Khrysanthus Methodievich Loparev's works on Byzantine studies abroad.

Development of education and enlightenment among Tatars in the 19th century in the Kazan and Vyatka Governorates

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the interconnection between the Kazan and Vyatka governorates in the context of the development of education and enlightenment among the Tatars in the 19th century. It examines the processes of the formation of the national education system through the example of the network of mektebs, madrasas, parish schools, and evening courses, as well as the development of educational thought amid the socio-cultural transformations of the Russian Empire. Particular attention is paid to the influence of demographic and territorial characteristics: the Kazan Governorate, with a high concentration of Tatars, developed an extensive educational infrastructure, whereas the Vyatka Governorate, with a smaller Tatar community, adapted Kazan’s experience to local conditions. The study analyzes the role of Kazan as a center for teacher training and the dissemination of educational literature, as well as the importance of Kazan University in shaping educational practices in the Vyatka Governorate. The scientific novelty of the research lies in a comprehensive analysis of the interaction between the governorates, identifying gaps in the study of Tatar educational thought of the 19th century, and clarifying the influence of various socio-cultural factors on educational processes. The results open new opportunities for further historical and pedagogical research in the history of education, enlightenment, teacher training, and cultural connections in the Volga and Kama regions.

Epistemic transformation of social experience in the age of generative artificial intelligence: philosophical foundations of education content

Abstract

This article presents a philosophical analysis of the transformation of social experience – the key source of education content – in the context of algorithmically mediated culture and the proliferation of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI). The central thesis holds that GenAI systems, acting as non-human agents of knowledge production, alter the epistemic conditions under which social experience is created, validated, and circulated, thereby qualitatively transforming the very source of education content. Drawing on the culturological theory of education content (M.N. Skatkin, I.Ya. Lerner, V.V. Kraevskii) and engaging with the philosophy of algorithmic culture and the philosophy of higher education, the authors employ conceptual framework analysis and theoretical synthesis to develop the DAASE model (Digitally-Algorithmically Augmented Social Experience). The model identifies five analytical dimensions of transformed social experience: algorithmic filtering of the information space, delegation of cognitive operations, knowledge production by non-human agents, displacement of agentic creativity by algorithmic generativity, and distortion of value orientations. Each dimension corresponds to a principle of education content formation: critical algorithmic literacy, epistemic agency, integrativity, human-centredness, and ethical reflexivity. The article demonstrates that DAASE does not replace the classic four-component structure of education content but undertakes its conceptual reconstruction for the conditions of higher education in the age of algorithmic mediation. The limitations of the model and directions for empirical validation are outlined.

Pre-service teacher training in the context of digital transformation of education: the impact of AI tools on students’ metacognitive, cognitive, and communicative abilities

Abstract

The digital transformation of society leads to fundamental changes in all spheres of human activity, including education. The system of higher pedagogical education faces the need, on the one hand, to respond promptly to technological challenges, and on the other hand, to preserve the anthropological core that ensures the holistic development of personality and the realization of students’ individual potential through education. In the context of digital transformation of education, the key vector for modernizing teacher education, along with the development of digital competencies, is strengthening the role of the Humanities in the targeted development of metacognitive, cognitive, and communicative abilities of pre-service teachers. In the era of AI metacognitive abilities – «thinking about thinking» – are a key mechanism for countering «metacognitive laziness». The integration of digitalization and the Humanities is considered a methodological foundation for the target orientations of education in the era of Artificial Intelligence and anthropomorphic models. The effects of using AI tools in education remain insufficiently studied. The issue of harnessing the potential of AI in education and minimizing associated risks is an important interdisciplinary research problem. This problem determined the aim of the present study to assess the impact of AI tools on metacognitive, cognitive, and communicative abilities of pre-service teachers in order to substantiate effective pedagogical approaches, methods, and techniques for Teacher Training in the era of digital transformation. Within the framework of this study, a questionnaire on the impact of AI technologies on the metacognitive, cognitive, and communicative abilities of students in Teacher Education programmes was developed and implemented; recommendations aimed at updating the content, forms, methods, and assessment procedures in the context of digital transformation of education are presented; the necessity of strengthening the role of the Humanities in developing pre-service teachers’ metacognitive («thinking about thinking» abilities), cognitive, and communicative abilities is substantiated to ensure personal and professional growth, continuous self-development throughout life, as well as multifunctional variability of professional activity in situations of uncertainty in a dynamically changing world. The experimental sample consisted of 70 students in pre-service teacher education programmes (Years 1–4).

The institute of curatorship in the system of moral education of university students

Abstract

This article examines the institution of curatorship as a tool for the moral development of students in the contemporary sociocultural context of higher education. It analyzes established groups of studies in the scientific literature devoted to the pedagogical activity of curators: functional and substantive, historical and pedagogical, and those aimed at modernizing the institution of curatorship. The author substantiates the position that, despite a significant volume of theoretical work, there remains a shortage of studies that reveal the essential characteristics of curatorship specifically in the context of moral education. The potential of curatorship in shaping students' moral values and attitudes is revealed. A functional analysis of the pedagogical activity of a curator is conducted, allowing us to identify its morally oriented functions: axiological orientation, moral example, moral facilitation, and integrative mediation. These functions are substantively specified through the activities of a student moral education curator: ethicization of everyday academic life, pedagogical support for moral choice in quasi-professional situations, involvement in socially significant activities, and individual tutoring at critical points in development. The role of these areas in shaping the student's moral sphere is revealed. The value and significance of a set of methods (ethical conversation, the method of ethical dilemmas, a business game with ethical content, the method of volunteer projects, individual confidential conversations, etc.) are substantiated in the context of the organization of student moral education by a curator. The relationship between the areas, functions, and methods of activity of a moral education curator in a higher education setting is presented.

The relevance of the study is due to the need of society for people who are ready to independently, productively, and creatively carry out socially approved activities for the benefit of the development of an individual, social groups, the human community as a whole, and the natural environment, to ensure a sustainable and prosperous future. The article presents the experience of teaching students of Orenburg State University to be creative and active in the process of studying the academic discipline «Fundamentals of project activities. Public projects». The article discusses the practice of planning, developing, and implementing student projects, the content of which is aimed at helping others, eliminating or mitigating existing social problems, and making a positive and transformative contribution to the development of society. The article presents the typology and content of projects prepared by students individually and as part of a team of participants. It has been established that project work is a creative form of student activity, emphasizing the individuals desire to implement educational, informational, preventive, environmental, historical-cultural, and health-promoting project initiatives. It is noted that the realization of the benefits of the achieved final goal for others, as well as its personal and social significance, enhances the importance of the project outcome for each student, which is reflected in their level of independence, activity, and creativity.

Methodology and practice of developing scientific thinking of students at a technical university

Abstract

This article examines the issue of scientific thinking developing in future engineers, which is relevant to pedagogy and methodology. The scientific problem is formulated as a gap between the implementation of strategic state objectives for improving the quality of engineering education and pedagogical contradictions within the existing system of higher technical education, which is focused on the dissemination of existing knowledge. The article highlights key pedagogical and methodological challenges in developing future engineers’ scientific thinking, including the lack of a clearly defined state mandate for advanced training, the destructive influence of neural networks and artificial intelligence systems, the exclusion of social sciences, humanities, and ethics components from university technical curricula, and a lack of practical interdisciplinary training. The following solutions are proposed: the introduction of project-based learning on «end-to-end» model, system for AI solutions monitoring and evaluating integration, the inclusion into technical universities educational process of humanities and social sciences, and interdisciplinary students’ laboratories organizing. Conclusions are drawn from the study, and its future prospects are outlined in the form of developing diagnostic tools for assessing scientific thinking in future engineers and creating individual educational trajectories for engineering students to shape their scientific thinking.

Experience in designing and implementing a unified research agenda for pedagogical universities

Abstract

This article examines the development of unified approaches to the design and implementation of research activities at pedagogical universities under the jurisdiction of the Russian Ministry of Education. The relevance of the study stems from the national objective of creating a unified educational space for the country, in which the integration of pedagogical universities' research resources plays a key role. The aim of the study is to analyze the design of research activities at pedagogical universities under the jurisdiction of the Russian Ministry of Education from the perspective of developing unified approaches to implementing research to address issues in educational practice (using pre-professional pedagogical education research as an example). The study utilized monitoring methods and tools to collect, analyze, and summarize information on the implementation of research activities at pedagogical universities under the jurisdiction of the Russian Ministry of Education. Abstract analogy was also used to analyze research practices and develop unified approaches to shaping the research agenda. The study found that a collective approach to designing research activities at universities enables the formation of a unified research field and unified approaches to implementing research in higher pedagogical education. A study of research planning processes in pre-professional pedagogical education demonstrates that collaboration between pedagogical universities and the coordination of research approaches to addressing issues related to the psychological and pedagogical preparation of schoolchildren fosters a unified vision for the future of educational research. This strategically important area (specialized pre-professional pedagogical training for schoolchildren), implemented by pedagogical universities, demonstrates the importance of pooling resources to address significant research challenges in implementing priority areas for the development of the national education system. The study reveals that defining unified approaches to research planning fosters a shared understanding and contemporary understanding of the process of creating a unified educational space within the higher pedagogical education system. The study demonstrates that collaborative efforts aimed at organizing research interactions among entities within the higher pedagogical education system ensure the implementation of unified approaches within the higher pedagogical education system, thereby strengthening the country's educational unity.

Model for developing natural science functional literacy in pre-service teachers (biology and geography pathways)

Abstract

The paper substantiates the relevance of developing natural science functional literacy in pre-service teacher education (Biology and Geography profiles) as an integrative outcome combining the ability to apply scientific knowledge and practices in educational/professional contexts and to transform them into school-level learning activities and assessment tools. The study identifies a contradiction between the advanced academic level of subject courses and insufficient didactic transformation of scientific content for school teaching, as well as between methodology courses and the sporadic actualization of subject-specific scientific practices when designing lessons, tasks, and assessment. An operational definition of natural science functional literacy is proposed (component structure and level descriptors), which serves as a basis for a structural-functional model ensuring content- and time-based integration of subject and pedagogical (methodology) modules. The practice-oriented core of the model is illustrated through a set of cross-cutting case studies (including biogeographical contexts) following the cycle «data → explanation → argumentation of decisions → methodological projection». A criteria-based diagnostic framework is described, including data-driven tasks and case assignments, pedagogical products, portfolios, rubrics, and formative assessment. Pilot implementation results and organizational conditions required for further experimental verification of the model within the curriculum are discussed.

Pedagogical principles and conditions for the formation of geometric competence in schoolchildren

Abstract

The article examines the interrelationship and contradictions between the growing demand for specialists in the technical field and the decline in the level of student preparation in geometry. The concept of geometric competence as an element of mathematical competence is analyzed, and the structure of geometric competence, consisting of five components (Cognitive, Operational-Activity, Visual-Spatial, Applied, and Motivational-Activity), is considered, with each component playing a crucial role in the formation of geometric competence. For the successful formation of a student's geometric competence, the following principles are proposed and examined: a systematic approach, the principle of scientific rigor, the principle of visualization, the principle of connecting theoretical knowledge with practice, the principle of motivation, the principle of geometrization, the principle of unity of logical and figurative thinking, and the principle of differentiated instruction. Furthermore, pedagogical conditions that facilitate the implementation of these pedagogical principles are also considered for the successful formation of geometric competence. These include creating a supportive educational environment, developing interdisciplinary connections, applying project-based and research-based work, combining traditional and digital teaching methods, integrating educational game technologies, and providing continuous monitoring and corrective support for the level of geometric competence formation. The article also discusses the phased implementation of methodologies into the educational environment, which allows for the gradual and consistent development of a student's geometric competence.

"Shadow adaptation" of generative AI in higher education: problem diagnosis and directions for methodological solutions

Abstract

The rapid diffusion of generative artificial intelligence (AI) is shaping a distinctive mode of technological adoption within Russian higher education, conceptualized in this article as "shadow adaptation" – a spontaneous, predominantly bottom-up integration of AI that unfolds under conditions of insufficient institutional certainty and is marked by disciplinary asymmetry. This phenomenon is linked to legal gaps, a methodological vacuum, and specific infrastructural constraints, namely difficulties surrounding the institutional use of advanced foreign models and the lack of competitive domestic solutions within the university environment. In addition, institutional uncertainty and considerable variability in pedagogical practice can also be observed. An empirical examination of several components of this concept was conducted through a survey of Russian university instructors (N = 177). The results highlight the key features of shadow adaptation: widespread yet fragmented AI use (59,3%); disciplinary asymmetry (humanities instructors use AI in their teaching more frequently than their counterparts in technical disciplines: χ² = 11,9, p < 0,001); a substantial training gap (47% of respondents had received no training in AI use for teaching); and the predominance of foreign over domestic tools, which allows this adaptation process to be interpreted as unfolding largely within a "grey" infrastructural zone. The study also describes what we provisionally term "uneven enforcement" – a lack of consistent pedagogical responses to student AI use. At the same time, no statistically significant differences in these responses were found between instructors with differing levels of personal AI-use experience (p = 0,347). The article recommends developing professional development programmes grounded in the principles of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), with an emphasis on demonstrating the practical usefulness of AI and strengthening horizontal exchange of experience. It also underscores the need for more consistent institutional approaches to regulating AI use, as well as for assessment formats that allow for varying degrees of permissible AI involvement by students. Such measures may support a transition from spontaneous adoption to a more structured and ethically sustainable educational process.

Development of natural science museum collections as a means of expanding the educational space

Abstract

The aim of the article is to demonstrate the results of the development of the natural science museum collections of the Pedagogical University as a means of expanding the educational space. The main research method was a systematic approach to analyzing the statistics of events conducted using the natural science collections of the herbarium and the Anatomical Museum of the Faculty of Biology of the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia from 2022 to 2025. Events held using the resource base of natural science museum collections demonstrate a high demand potential (from 2022 to 2025, growth dynamics by 293%) and reach the maximum target audience (61% schoolchildren, 26% students, 13% teachers, parents, visitors, etc.). Career guidance events took the leading place (36%) and excursions (27%). The conducted research confirms and demonstrates the relevance of the development of the natural science museum collections of the pedagogical university and the effectiveness of the adoption of the concept of «open education». The paper lists specific events and shows their relevance, which can be used in the educational process of a pedagogical university. The analysis of the frequency, orientation and target audience of the events has shown a positive trend in the use of a unique, non-formal educational environment. The development of the «open education» concept, which includes museums in the educational process, has been facilitated by the introduction of smart technologies into the learning process and the integration of scientific knowledge with the education system. Active work in this area supports the continuity of educational levels and increases the motivation of students.

Abstract

This article examines the media technology workshop as a form of practice-oriented training for public relations specialists in the context of digitalization of higher education. Practice-oriented educational forms of specialist training are described. The role of practice-oriented learning and media technologies in the process of forming practical skills of university students is considered. The relevance of the research is determined by the need for future PR specialists to develop professional and digital competencies that meet the requirements of the modern media communication environment. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the effectiveness of the media technology workshop and to develop its structural and functional model in the educational process of the university. The research methods used are the analysis of scientific publications, pedagogical observation, analysis of the results of students' activities in the workshop, as well as the generalization of empirical data. The article presents the author's model of the media technology workshop, which includes targeted, meaningful, organizational and evaluative components. The results of the study show that students' participation in the workshop contributes to the development of professional competencies in the field of media planning, content creation, and team interaction. The conclusion is made about the expediency of integrating the media technology workshop into the system of training public relations specialists as a sustainable form of practice-oriented training. It is noted that the presented model of the media technology workshop can be used in the educational practice of other universities that implement training programs for specialists in the field of communications and marketing.

Demonstration exam in art-related subjects at a pedagogical university

Abstract

The authors consider the demonstration exam as an important stage in the professional training of future educators. The effectiveness of an interdisciplinary approach in shaping the concepts and content of lessons with preschool or primary school children, which are the products of educational activities demonstrated in the exam, is justified. Vectors of interdisciplinarity are presented in terms of the use of material that combines various areas of preschool education, as well as the content of primary school subjects. A number of thesauri of art are provided, theoretically defining the forms of integrating the artistic component with other components in the demonstration exam. The function of the interdisciplinary approach is clarified in the context of the issue of the demonstration exam in a pedagogical university. The alignment of the competencies being developed in students with the outcomes of their coursework at the pedagogical university is shown. The topics most successfully implemented by students in relation to lesson development are highlighted, primarily those related to ecology and introducing children to various professions. In the context of the interdisciplinary approach, the concept of the 'demonstration exam' is clarified, namely, it is proposed to consider it as a form of integration of professionally significant types of student activities, reflecting the transition to a qualitatively new level of their professional training through the ability to apply various types of art in classes with preschool and primary school children in their interrelation.

The article is devoted to a theoretical and pedagogical analysis of emotional intelligence as a professional resource of a foreign language teacher’s pedagogical activity. The relevance of the study is determined by the increasing emotional intensity of pedagogical work, the growing complexity of pedagogical interaction, and the heightened requirements for teachers’ professional sustainability in contemporary educational conditions. In the context of intensive foreign language communication and high communicative demands, particular importance is attached to the teacher’s ability to recognize, understand, and regulate emotional processes in professional activity. The purpose of the article is to provide a theoretical and pedagogical justification of emotional intelligence as a professional resource of pedagogical activity and to identify its role in ensuring the quality of pedagogical interaction and the professional sustainability of a foreign language teacher. The methodological framework of the study is based on the system-activity, competence-based, resource-based, and axiological approaches; the methods of theoretical analysis, generalization, and systematization of scientific sources are employed. The study analyzes key scientific approaches to understanding emotional intelligence in domestic and international research and clarifies the pedagogical content of the concept of «emotional intelligence of a teacher», which is interpreted as an integrative component of pedagogical activity functionally embedded in the implementation of professional pedagogical functions. It is shown that emotional intelligence can be considered a professional resource of a teacher, corresponding to the characteristics of involvement in activity, orientation toward educational outcomes, regulatory focus, and the potential for development in educational contexts. The findings provide theoretical grounds for further research on emotional intelligence in the context of professional training and development of foreign language teachers.

Genetics and bioethics in the historical context of popularizing scientific achievements and the content of biological education

Abstract

Since ancient times, humanity has selected plant and animal individuals whose productive or aesthetic qualities best suited society's needs. Following the discovery of the genetic laws of inheritance, a number of scientists advanced the idea of selecting and preserving the genetic material of the most outstanding individuals within the human population. Research advances in areas of genetics such as biotechnology and genetic engineering are currently permeating all spheres of society, improving the quality of life for individuals. However, the increasing number and widespread use of these methods simultaneously contribute to heightened public anxiety regarding the ethics and legality of their application to human beings. Bioethics, which develops norms and rules for the application of genetic engineering methods in medicine and biotechnology and evaluates eugenic programs, is called upon to regulate these issues. Based on the principles of bioethics, international organizations regulate the activities of research teams on the development of cloning methods, including for humans. Education should play an important role in explaining the results and achievements of science at the current stage of societal development. A model of non-formal education for early childhood educators

Abstract

The article addresses the problem of substantive content and organizational design of non-formal education for early childhood educators, whose professional activity is characterized by a persistent gap between current socio-cultural requirements and the existing level of qualification. Drawing on a systemic analysis of empirical data, including observation, focus groups, and questionnaires, the author identifies the key professional deficits of educators working with children aged two months to three years. The author proposes a conceptual model of the content of non-formal education for this category of specialists, integrating a modular design principle and a three-tier logic of mastery (basic, methodological, and personal-metacognitive levels). The content model of non-formal education for early childhood educators comprises five modules, each correlated with the dominant professional deficits, priority learning formats (tactile workshop, facial expression theatre, case-based games, competency-based competitions, foresight sessions), and methods that are predominantly perceptual-kinesthetic and project-based. The model features a level-module structure wherein each module includes a target (deficit-oriented), content, processual (forms, methods), and outcome-reflexive component. The theoretical significance of the study lies in broadening scholarly understanding of non-formal education as a systemic, deficit-oriented, and practice-mediated instrument for the professionalization of early childhood educators, in refining the structure of their competences, and in substantiating a polymodal technological toolkit for their development. The practical significance is determined by the applicability of the elaborated provisions to the design of corporate training programmes, mentoring schemes, professional learning communities, and personalized educational pathways within preschool educational organizations and early development centres.

Ontological foundations of a multiparadigmatic model of pedagogical support for the professional development of postgraduate students

Abstract

This article proposes a systematic development of the ontological foundations of a multi-paradigmatic model of pedagogical support (hereinafter referred to as PS) for the professionalization of postgraduate students. The analysis is conducted from the perspective of a synthesis of the philosophy of science, higher education pedagogy, sociocultural activity theory, psychological and pedagogical paradigms, professionalization theory, and contemporary concepts of pedagogical support. The multi-paradigmatic model is initially based on ontological pluralism: the recognition of a multiplicity of correlative ontologies (realistic, constructivist, relational, procedural, etc.) that coexist and interact in academic practice. It is argued that the complexity and multi-layered nature of the professionalization process require the theoretical integration of several paradigms (activity-based, competence-based, anthropological, pragmatic, etc.) for ontological and methodological analysis. The article identifies key ontological prerequisites (the relational and procedural nature of professional development, the stratification of the ontological field, multimodal reality, etc.) for designing this model. Based on these foundations, methodological implications for the design of postgraduate educational programs, supervision, assessment, and empirical research into the effectiveness of postgraduate programs are formulated. The article proposes a multi-level architecture for the postgraduate program model for professionalization of postgraduate students and a program for empirical validation. Particular attention is paid to issues of methodological correctness, ethics, and the institutional organization necessary for implementing a multiparadigmatic approach in the educational process of postgraduate programs. The problems of paradigm reconciliation, the risks of reductionism and relativism, and practical recommendations for implementing a multiparadigmatic approach in the institutional practice of postgraduate programs are discussed.

Research and diagnosis of creativity development in foreign language training of future police officers for professional activity

Abstract

The relevance of the topic of research is caused by the need to develop not only professional, but universal competences as well, that, in its turn, requires pedagogical science to change the working principles and methods with the vocational education content. The modern educational standard of higher vocational education, reflecting the strategic request of the state for its results, requires an expansion of foreign language training resources, as it is a part of the future police officers vocational training in educational organizations of higher education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, to reveal the creative potential of cadets. The aim of the article is to analyze the results of research and diagnosis of creativity development, confirming the effectiveness of the author’s application in the development of the training manual «English» methodological principles of humanitarian-anthropological and hermeneutic approaches: natural and cultural conformity, dialogicity, subjectivity, indirectiveness, reliance on the individual world of the learner. The experimental part included diagnosis of creativity level at the beginning and the end of the foreign language training course, observation and fixation of creative activity dynamics by means of pedagogical observation and individual observation maps. The result of the study was a positive progress of creativity in the process of foreign language training. The practical significance is represented by the possibility of using results in the development of educational content of educational programs.

Mediation culture in an educational organization: from terminological operationalization to systemic institutionalization

Abstract

This article presents a theoretical and methodological study of mediative culture as a systemic phenomenon of the educational environment, defining the value-normative foundations of dialogic interaction in the context of the increasing conflict potential of the modern educational space. Based on a comprehensive analysis of the regulatory framework of the Russia (2010–2026), the strategic objectives of the mediation component of state policy, encompassing institutional, organizational, personnel, value-semantic, and monitoring dimensions, are identified and classified. A comparative conceptual analysis substantiates a methodologically significant distinction between the concepts of «mediation competence» (an individual and professional resource of a teacher) and «mediation culture» (a systemic property of an educational organization). A three-level operational model is proposed and verified, demonstrating the dynamics of the transition from individual mastery of mediation techniques through the institutionalization of practices to the formation of a sustainable culture of dialogue. Existing diagnostic tools and programs for continuing professional education were analyzed, identifying their systemic limitations associated with the reduction of cultural phenomena to competency-based indicators. The need to integrate competency-based and institutional approaches when designing didactic support for mediation training for teachers was demonstrated. The study's results have scientific and practical significance for developing regional education development strategies, modernizing professional development programs, and improving mechanisms for monitoring the quality of the educational environment.
