The article describes the ways of using proverbs and sayings in the education of children with special educational needs. It is possible to take the best advantage of these units, as their lexical and grammatical peculiarities enrich students’ speech in folklore morals. It has been proved that they cause development of children’s higher mental functions, thinking in particular.
В статье раскрываются возможности применения пословиц и поговорок (паремий) в обучении и воспитании детей с особыми образовательными потребностями. Привлекаются материалы, обогащающие лексико-грамматический строй речи таких учащихся народными наставлениями. Отмечено развитие в процессе осмысления этих выражений высших психических функций детей, прежде всего, мышления.
